I'm leading with this because this is a colloquial expression, as well as it encapsulates the idea of doing something one regrets, but more succintly.

We have prt because the kokugos classify it as a 接続助詞 (conjunctive particle). I checked a few other 接続助詞 entries (ば、から、けれど、ながら, とも) and prt is on all of them (often as the only PoS).
Unlike regular conjunctives (接続詞), conjunctive particles are always attached to the previous word or clause (i.e. they can't start a sentence or clause).
Whether or not "[prt, conj]" is the best way to indicate this (if we want to maintain the distinction at all) is probably a topic for the mailing list. But for now, prt is fine.

This was discussed quite a bit in 2123320, which was deleted in 2019. I wrote then "そつ indeed has no kanji, but it is being used (mistakenly) with kanji. I would like people to be able to look up 卒なく, etc. and be led to the right place, and be told it's an error. I don't mind it not being here, but it may be a step too far to add it to the そつなく entry as "iK". It's the 事ム所 problem."
I think that given it's out there, and we should have it searchable, it is probably better to have it here as "iK' as have it in another entry with the same meaning and reading simply pointing here.
I'll add it, approve, then reopen.

I dropped 卒なく in 2019 but it's actually quite common and 実用日本語表現辞典 has an entry for it.
It's definitely non-standard — 卒 doesn't have a meaning that would make sense in this context — so I'm wondering if want to make a separate entry for it. Even with an iK tag, I'm not sure this is the place to record it.

Redoing my edit which was rejected without addressing the points I raised, by Rene. Yes, I forked the entry, sorry, but last time Robin
forked an entry after my edit, my earlier edit was also rejected with a "forked" comment (if it was by Jim or Rene, I don't remember). It
might not have been done on purpose but it's still kind of telling. All hierarchical systems have issues where the status of the
individuals participating in it weigh heavier than whether or not they are actually right. I've noticed Rene for example often approving
obviously incorrect or questionable edits made by Jim (where I'm sure Rene were aware that the edit was at least questionable). I have a
great amount of respect for Jim for creating the dictionary and spending the time he has on it, but he's not without fault (nor does he
pretend to be!). The best thing for the dictionary itself is for it to be correct, not that the edit made by the most senior gets a pat on
the back.

My initial amendment comment follows:

https://www.powerthesaurus.org/snow_tire/antonyms
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Snow_tire
https://www.bridgestonetire.com/tread-and-trend/drivers-ed/snow-tires-studded-tires-vs-studless-tires

I'm sorry, but I think you are wrong here.

The reason you don't use the word "summer tyre" in Australia is most likely less of a "linguistic feature" and more the result of
lacking the type of weather that requires winter/snow tires? The word is obviously used in the UK.

I heard this used on the news here in Japan. The screen showed the scene of an accident (because of the recent snow in Kanto) and there
was a zoom-up on the tyres, and on the screen the テロップ appeared: "ノーマルタイヤ" (addition: this was it, plastered over the screen, no
other words in the テロップ). In a context like this, I don't think any
English-language news show would have used the word "NORMAL TIRES" over "SUMMER TIRES", not even in Australia ;).
Doing "news google" searches for "normal tire(s)" vs "summer tire(s)" is illuminating.
For "normal tire", the hits (220) are things "... while still allowing for normal tire wear ...", "Sensor memorization after normal tire
rotation ...", ""In just a normal tire, it could've very easily caused a blowout," etc., cf. with "summer tire" (2000)

Is "soapland" by itself really that well-
known? I feel that this definition will be
very cryptical for many people, not least
because it's not obvious the use of
"masseuse" here is euphemistic.

How about something like

i don't think just "masseuse" should be in there. not only is it a little euphemistic, it also has the potential to throw shade at masseuses of more reputable establishments. also the first gloss would include women working the counter, etc. which this presumably doesn't cover.

perhaps "soapland masseuse", etc. would be okay.

there's an argument that 'overlapping entries' are helpful for the user so we can be more lenient in deciding whether to include them. i'm fine with that.

but we should also consider the parsing. is it really 三+人目 or is it 三人+目? i think the latter. so i don't think this is a suffix or even a valid term
2. A* 2020-01-21 15:24:51
  Comments:
To what extent should the dictionary include these type of entries that aren't entries in other
dictionaries (because they're obvious constructs) just based on there being another entry sharing the same
kanji?
人目 isn't read as "にんめ" in 一人目、二人目, yet these are probably the most common forms of this usage.

Apparently it's not just triangles - the scale-like thingos can be semi-circular. That's in line with 鱗/うろこ, of course.

Is "scalelike pattern" really a separate sense from "triangular pattern", or is it just GG5's rather literal translation of sense 1?

splitting out from ナチ. I think the [gai1] belongs here rather than there, but making this spec1 for now, as it's way more common than
ナチ.
also refers to the party itself, see 世界大百科事典 第2版の解説: ナチス【Nazis】ドイツの政党

I was wondering if this is also used in the Japanese community in Peru, as Spanish also has the word 'colónia', but I wasn't able to confirm this.
