	Comments:	Sorry to reopen this but I think 4 senses is excessive. The kokugos and JEs have at most three (modern) senses; some only have two. I got "emotive conviction" from Makino and Tsutsui's Dictionary of Intermediate Japanese Grammar. It has a good entry on this expression.

	Comments:	It was pointed out to me that our one brief sense did not address the full range of meanings. I've modelled this on a mixture of Daijirin and GG5, effectively splitting GG5's first sense into two. The xrefs are based on GG5's labelling of groups of glosses. There are 28 Tanaka sentences that will need reindexing. About half are for the proposed sense 2, which was part of GG5's first sense.

	Comments:	That's fine by me. I don't really understand on what basis some of the Chinese readings are included in all of these dictionaries. Does it mean these words are used in Japanese or not? If not, why do all these kokugo's really list them? There's not that many of them though - daijs has only 258 entries with 中国語 in the 解説文. Should アル etc. have separate entries or not be included at all?

	Comments:	I think these are tell us 二 is read "アル" in Chinese. Do we really want the 二/アル combination going out on that basis? Will we be adding the Korean readings of hanja? I feel that Chinese-derived readings which have no currency in Japanese, e.g. don't appear at all in 漢和字典, should not be included.

	Comments:	Given the references, it's hard to see what changes are needed. OTOH there are a lot of WWW sites with advertisements for brushes, etc. removing dust, pet fur, dental plaques, etc. using the verb 絡め取る. I guess it's an extension of the capture/apprehend meaning. I'm suggesting an extra sense, but it could be just the one.

It is not. 1. 絡め取る means 絡めて取る or 絡める and is a somewhat daily use word. Entangle (and get stuck) in wires, strings, spider web, long hair, even in a brush. 2. 搦め捕る is used for criminals.
