Comments: | As with ボンベ, this is not wasei as it's not a construction. It's certainly not a straight translation of Kocher, but then 外来語 are often that way. コッヘル seems to be used for portable stoves, or cooking equipment, or both. The forceps are named after Emil Theodor Kocher. Should that go in a note? |

Comments: | 和製 means "made in Japan". It's usually applied to 外来語 that are constructed from whole or partial terms in another language. Bombe/ボンベ is not a construction, so it can't be tagged as "wasei". I agree that it's a mistranslation/transliteration of the German Bombe. FWIW in French a "bombe" is a spray can. |

Comments: | Sorry, I think I must have misread 過程. I googled to see if it might actually be used that way (despite of what's in daij) because I think I might have seen it used as such but it instead turns out it most commonly seems to refer to a multi-course dessert menu. I say "most commonly" but that's actually the only usage I found (though I didn't search that extensively), so I think it should come first. |

Comments: | A. Yes, we need this. I'll align it with the others. This one inflects, so "adj-i". B. GG5 is very strange on this one: (a) the paper edition (which I bought in 2003) has an entry for 底知れない and another for 底知れず which is simply an xref to 底知れない. However, the examples in the entry are all for 底知れぬ acting prenominally. (b) the CD and online editions no longer mention 底知れず, and the headword has changed to 底知れぬ, BUT the indexing only works for 底知れない. Trying to look up 底知れぬ via the KOD site only brings up a heap of Readers+ EJ entries. Quite weird, and probably a cock-up. I'll approve this and reopen it so the situation will be visible for a few days. Also, someone might like to propose entries for 底が知れない, etc. |
