Long Honyaku discussion, mainly about the generic (sense 3) use of コーラ as a term for soft drinks. "Cola" doesn't seem to be used that way in BrE, but it seems in parts of the US "cola" can be a generic term.

I don't think this should have been split out from いい感じ. The reason we're keeping いい and 良い(よい) apart is a still unsolved
PoS/conjugation issue which is irrelevant when いい/よい are used as a prefix/in noun phrases. いい is a valid reading of both 良い and 好い
as explicitly attested by GG5 (好い顔・いいかお,好い加減・いいかげん, etc.), prog (いい(良い・好い)), nikk, daijs (好迷惑/好い迷惑・いいめいわく,

Good. I think 20% is fine for expressions and 交ぜ書き for the forms favouring kana. If the counts for 気が乗る and 気がのる were reversed I don't think I'd hide the 気が乗る form.

I agree. For forms that only differ in kana usage (hiragana/katakana, 交ぜ書き, etc.), I'm in favour of a minimum threshold of at least 20%. I don't think keeping these relatively uncommon forms visible is particularly helpful, especially when the word only contains jōyō kanji.

中辞典 has an entry for 百円 complete with translation.
The text-glossing issue is that without having 百円 as an entry, text containing it will be matched with a longer compound, e.g. 百円玉. Although it gets flagged as a "Partial Match", it is still messy when it could be precise. It's why I don't like having ABC entries without having AB, unless AB never appears alone.
3. A* 2019-05-21 09:50:42  Marcus Richert <...address hidden...>
  Comments:
Are they really all that useful for text glossing? 百円 is an entry in GG5 but it doesn't have a definition and seems like it's only there
to allow for subentries like 100円玉, 100円ショップ. 10円、1000円、1万円 are not entries. I don't think we need any of these. (but I
think 100円玉, 1000円札 etc. are meaningful to have)

We have a 気になる, but the "feel like doing" sense is #3. We also have "気になれない don't feel like doing; can't bring oneself to do; can't face" as an entry.
I want to put this "out there" for consideration. I wouldn't bother if it were obviously a case of 気になる, but it's very much locked into sense 3, so the meaning is not obvious.

I have to agree. There are several usually-in-kana なりs, and unless someone is on top of the pronoun+なり pattern it can be misleading
Apropos of text glossing, WWWJDIC's current approach makes a hash of the 私なり pattern because it defaults to the particle なり. The experimental version which preprocesses using MeCab at least picks up the right one although the actual translation gets a bit lost because of the breadth of entries with 形 as a surface form.
I'm leaving this open for a bit as I want to address some other pronoun+なり patterns and there is some sentence indexing to be fixed.
4. A* 2019-05-23 23:17:36  Nicolas Maia
  Comments:
I find it useful for text glossing. なり has many disparate meanings, and if you don't know beforehand that it means "way; peculiar to" when placed after a pronoun, it can be hard to piece A with B.
3. A* 2019-05-23 22:32:06  Robin Scott <...address hidden...>
