  Comments:
I'll come back on this if needed, but my understanding is that the transition to entry-wide lsrc tags can be made on the basis of what's in just the first sense. No need to tag them all.
8. A* 2022-01-26 19:17:31  Robin Scott <...address hidden...>
  Comments:
I thought the idea was to have the same lsrc tag on all the senses so that the entry no longer appears in the results of the SQL queries you provided. The first query still returns カシス if we leave it like this.
7. A 2022-01-25 20:23:59  Jim Breen <...address hidden...>
  Comments:
I think it will be enough to have the lsrc on the first sense. This one was pinged because they were different.
6. A* 2022-01-25 00:03:33  Robin Scott <...address hidden...>
  Comments:
Aren't we supposed to make sure that all senses have the same lsrc tag as part of the preparation for the NG JMdict?

I found that last reference I mentioned (in regard to the collarbone area). It was in Wikipedia.
日本ではまだ珍しく、この様な格好をして屋外にいたりすると下品な女性とみられる事が多い。 そのためか、鎖骨周辺を「デコルテ」と勘違いして表現する
ファッションアドバイザーなどの専門家も日本国内には急増している。

Of course, it's described as a 勘違, though.

I think it's a fine line. The style we usually follow is that if an entry defines a state, then an adjective from it (e.g. adj-no) goes in the same sense. Now you are making it clearer that your sense 3 is more a clothing style, I agree it should go back.
Originally (in French, etc.) décolleté applied equally to the back. I wondered about the application in Japanese of デコルテ, and looked at Google images. Mostly front shots, but there were some of bare backs too. I felt that "part of a woman's chest and back exposed ..." was pretty safe - it doesn't say how much of each.

i suppose. it's harmless, but i mean there is an entry for そつなく so you don't even need to conjugate anything to put these two words together

そつ indeed has no kanji, but it is being used (mistakenly) with kanji. I would like people
to be able to look up 卒なく, etc. and be led to the right place, and be told it's an error.
I don't mind it not being here, but it may be a step too far to add it to the そつなく entry
as "iK". It's the 事ム所 problem.
6. A* 2019-02-13 17:48:50  Robin Scott <...address hidden...>
  Comments:
It may be common but ultimately it's just an adverb followed by a verb. I don't think it's any more worthy of inclusion than something like うまく使う.
Also, そつ has no kanji.

"You use this one to count piles or bundles of thin things, like paper and nori seaweed sheets. This one is tricky, though—the actual number depends on what is being counted. For example, if you're counting 海苔 (のり), nori seaweed, 一帖 means ten sheets. If you're counting 半紙 (はんし), traditional writing paper, 一帖 means twenty sheets. And, if you're counting 美濃紙 (みのがみ), which is 半紙 made in the Mino region (美濃/みの), 一帖 means forty-eight sheets!

Counts: photo albums, notebooks, sets of ten nori seaweed sheets, Japanese manuscript paper, folding screens, sets of twenty hanshi sheets, sets of forty-eight minogami sheets"

I really didn't think this through when I replied to Marcus, but on reflection I think I agree with Robin that having an explicit mention of "counter for" in the glosses is the best way to go.
I did a quick count and of the approx. 118 entries with "ctr" as a PoS, 94 have the word "counter" in them, so it's pretty much the default style.
I'm proposing to put back the way it was, with minor changes.

I feel quite strongly that "counter for" should stay. Many people don't pay attention to the PoS labels and won't notice that the counter senses are actually counters, especially on websites/apps that don't clearly divide the senses by part of speech (WWWJDIC, for instance).
I think it's better to be explicit.

I do think there's a difference between 常識~ (and also 想定~) and 予算~ as they are to my mind less obvious and compositional than
and used in a more idiomatic (non-literal) way and not what an English-speaker would come up with, translating from English. I still
think this and/or the -内-less version should be an entry/entries, but I won't protest if this is deleted. (it's about time we make a
decision either way)

For comparison, some other common expressions that contain "範囲内": 予算の範囲内, 想定の範囲内, 予想の範囲内, 法律の範囲内, ルールの範囲内.
I don't feel there's anything that makes 常識の範囲内 more worthy of inclusion than the above examples (and I'm not suggesting we add all of them).

If so, I think that strengthens the case to include it, but it's hard to look into of course.
In general, we have included some pretty obscure kanji forms in plenty of entries. As long as they're properly marked as
iK or oK, I don't think it's that much of an issue. Dictionary developers can decide for themselves how prominently (or
not) they want to display these.

I checked tweets for な/の usage and found 6 な and 0 の in tweets posted the past 24 hours, but daijs+ used の in one entry:

Glosses can probably be improved.

It's a headword in daijs and it's mentioned in the Wikipedia article. If it's good enough for any one of the kokugo's, I think it's good
enough for us. It's not as if we're about to run out of space any time soon (at least not to my understanding).

there's no entry for this in any kokugo. online results are almost entirely for a fictional manga character. britannica has it as the F-86 Sabre; daijs has it as the honda saber (a sedan), not to be confused with the honda sabre (a motorcycle). probably many more senses could be added (as in wikipedia).

i suggest moving to enamdict.
