Comments: | I think it's OK (although I wonder about the usefulness of the politics tag). As the word isn't particularly common to begin with, I don't think it's necessary to tag サンジカリスム as rare. Most of the kokugos have this form. |

It was in Wikipedia. 日本ではまだ珍しく、この様な格好をして屋外にいたりすると下品な女性とみられる事が多い。 そのためか、鎖骨周辺を「デコルテ」と勘違いして表現する ファッションアドバイザーなどの専門家も日本国内には急増している。 http://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/胸の谷間#.E3.83.87.E3.82.B3.E3.83.AB.E3.83.86 . Comments: | I think it's a fine line. The style we usually follow is that if an entry defines a state, then an adjective from it (e.g. adj-no) goes in the same sense. Now you are making it clearer that your sense 3 is more a clothing style, I agree it should go back. Originally (in French, etc.) décolleté applied equally to the back. I wondered about the application in Japanese of デコルテ, and looked at Google images. Mostly front shots, but there were some of bare backs too. I felt that "part of a woman's chest and back exposed ..." was pretty safe - it doesn't say how much of each. |

I don't mind it not being here, but it may be a step too far to add it to the そつなく entry as "iK". It's the 事ム所 problem. |

For example, if you're counting 海苔 (のり), nori seaweed, 一帖 means ten sheets. If you're counting 半紙 (はんし), traditional writing paper, 一帖 means twenty sheets. And, if you're counting 美濃紙 (みのがみ), which is 半紙 made in the Mino region (美濃/みの), 一帖 means forty-eight sheets! Counts: photo albums, notebooks, sets of ten nori seaweed sheets, Japanese manuscript paper, folding screens, sets of twenty hanshi sheets, sets of forty-eight minogami sheets" https://www.tofugu.com/japanese/japanese-counters-list/ |

Comments: | I really didn't think this through when I replied to Marcus, but on reflection I think I agree with Robin that having an explicit mention of "counter for" in the glosses is the best way to go. I did a quick count and of the approx. 118 entries with "ctr" as a PoS, 94 have the word "counter" in them, so it's pretty much the default style. I'm proposing to put back the way it was, with minor changes. |

Comments: | I feel quite strongly that "counter for" should stay. Many people don't pay attention to the PoS labels and won't notice that the counter senses are actually counters, especially on websites/apps that don't clearly divide the senses by part of speech (WWWJDIC, for instance). I think it's better to be explicit. |

Refs: | It might be the case that it's much more common in handwritten Japanese than online. https://detail.chiebukuro.yahoo.co.jp/qa/question_detail/q118149731 "私は急いでメモしないといけないときに、一種の略字として まだれ(广)の中に“K”や“O”を入れて「慶応」としたり、 ... こういう表記で、他に便利なのはありませんか? ... 事務所は事ム所だな。務はみんなムにしちゃう。" https://books.google.co.jp/books? id=KlYNMV9Ot0MC&lpg=PA430&ots=RhPIs9dLWH&dq=%22'%E4%BA%8B%E3%83%A0%E6%89%80%22%20%22%E5%8B%99%22&pg=PA430#v=onepage&q=%22 '%E4%BA%8B%E3%83%A0%E6%89%80%22%20%22%E5%8B%99%22&f=false "全く務の字が一寸むづかしい貸めに、軍なる片暇名でその務音を示し間に合せてみる" (1936) (149 unique hits on google books for 事ム所) If so, I think that strengthens the case to include it, but it's hard to look into of course. In general, we have included some pretty obscure kanji forms in plenty of entries. As long as they're properly marked as iK or oK, I don't think it's that much of an issue. Dictionary developers can decide for themselves how prominently (or not) they want to display these. |

Comments: | I think this could be confusing. If someone describes themselves as 和式派, it means they prefer the Japanese version of some particular thing (almost always toilets), not Japanese things in general. I think expanding the 派 entry would be a better idea. At the moment we have only sense and it doesn't really capture this usage. |

Comments: | Nicolas, I want to thank you for all your submissions, but could you maybe try and provide more sources than just Wikipedia articles in the future? It would make our job a little easier. Policy: http://www.edrdg.org/wiki/index.php/Editorial_policy If the reference includes a Wikipedia article, quote the URL. Please note that a Japanese Wikipedia article by itself is not necessarily a good source for a dictionary entry. Some articles are simply translations from an English page and not evidence that a term is in use in Japanese. Sometimes an article only covers one aspect of a term's usage, and there are other senses which need to be covered. It is best to check the term in other sources and state that in the References section. |

Comments: | there's no entry for this in any kokugo. online results are almost entirely for a fictional manga character. britannica has it as the F-86 Sabre; daijs has it as the honda saber (a sedan), not to be confused with the honda sabre (a motorcycle). probably many more senses could be added (as in wikipedia). i suggest moving to enamdict. |
