Comments: | I think we agreed on the mailing list that vs should not lead for noun-is words, which typically are n, vs, adj-na, adj-no. I'm not sure that discussion applies to on-min, which typically are adv, adv-to, vs. |

Comments: | (a) no problem putting うそうそ/ウソウソ into a separate entry. I added them here in 2013 on the basis of GG5, etc. simply pointing to うろうろ. I'll set up an entry for them, (b) Yes, I've looked at that email thread on PoS/gloss structure for these beasties. It's the not-uncommon problem that Daijirin tags it as "( 副 ) スル", but GG5 and the other JEs only have する/して/etc. glosses and examples. Daijirin has an adverbial sense and two vs senses which match the two in GG5, so I'll propose a similar 3-way split. |

Comments: | We already have 睡魔に追われる (and it's not slang, fwiw) Nicolas, we appreciate that you take the time to find possible candidates for inclusion in the dictionary, but as editors, we'd be grateful if you could check whether each submission meets our inclusion requirements a little more thoroughly (see the policy). This particular entry wasn't the worst offender of the last bunch but several of them don't appear in any reliable sources and don't even get 100 hits on google. It's a bit of a waste of time both for you to spend the time submitting them and for the editor who has to check them. For words/expressisons that aren't in other dictionaries (including more reliable slang dictionaries like zokugo-dict and 実 用日本語表現辞典), at minimim, check on google and/or twitter to see how common they are first. Thanks. |
