Split sense 1 into three senses. The refs don't merge them.
Moved the "karat" sense up.
I think the 五行 are better described as "phases" as opposed to "elements". I'll update the others if this is approved.

"Tael" is the English word for the Chinese unit (of weight and currency) 兩 (liǎng).
The Japanese unit of weight 両 (りょう) is essentially the same unit,
so I think it can be glossed "tael".
The Japanese unit of currency is not the same as the Chinese;
it is the value of one unit of weight of gold, while in China it is silver,
so here I think "tael" would not work.

This was discussed quite a bit in 2123320, which was deleted in 2019. I wrote then "そつ indeed has no kanji, but it is being used (mistakenly) with kanji. I would like people to be able to look up 卒なく, etc. and be led to the right place, and be told it's an error. I don't mind it not being here, but it may be a step too far to add it to the そつなく entry as "iK". It's the 事ム所 problem."
I think that given it's out there, and we should have it searchable, it is probably better to have it here as "iK' as have it in another entry with the same meaning and reading simply pointing here.
I'll add it, approve, then reopen.

I dropped 卒なく in 2019 but it's actually quite common and 実用日本語表現辞典 has an entry for it.
It's definitely non-standard — 卒 doesn't have a meaning that would make sense in this context — so I'm wondering if want to make a separate entry for it. Even with an iK tag, I'm not sure this is the place to record it.

A little A+B, but it's pretty common and it's a little weird to just have an entry for the much less common 面倒がる

This is "just" the addition of the がる to 面倒くさい, but I think it's worth adding, partly because 面倒がる seems to be an abbreviation of it.

Poss. abbreviated from 面倒くさがる. I'd like to xref 面倒がらず to this.
