Yes, 石鹸玉 is quite an outlier, and as the n-grams show, it's quite possibly often せっけんだま rather than しゃぼんだま.
That said, I'm seeing some images of soap bubbles labelled 石鹸玉, as well as cases where they are plainly soap balls.
What I suggest is adding a new 石鹸玉/石けん玉/せっけんだま entry with two senses: soap balls and soap bubbles, with the bubble sense xrefed to here with a note like "occ. read しゃぼん玉". Would that work?

I see Unidic (correctly) doesn't have 何年 as a single morpheme, and MeCab/Unidic parses it as a morpheme pair with POSs of "名詞-数詞" and "名詞-普通名詞". It's a single something, but not really a noun. Anyway, I think I'll just put it aside now.

see rejected submission on シャボン.  石鹸 was suggested as a headword there and シャボン was changed to gikun (which doesn't make sense because it can't be a gikun reading for the foreign word that it corresponds to).  if anywhere, シャボン should be added as a gikun reading here.

however, 石鹸=シャボン is not supported by any dictionary, although daijs has 石鹸=サボン.  i think that should be handled as gikun here or as an "also written as" note on サボン

I was taught "gaol" as the standard spelling, but I agree it's not a lot of use now. Having it in entries is harmless, but I won't go ballistic if it is culled. It gets less than 1/20th of the use of "jail". I agree with Rene that is should be on a couple of the standard nouns.

i'm not british so i'm not sure how common it is, but i'd say we'd be fine to remove it in pretty many cases, IMO.  i'd leave "gaol" as a gloss for 刑務所, etc. though

also, unless 破獄 refers to the action of hacking your phone, i wouldn't include "jail breaking" here either.  i don't think "jailbreak" in the sense of "breaking out of jail" is normally a verb

I think it should be included. Along with どころではない, it is common, in many examples, meaning not obvious,  etc. They could be combined, although it would be messy. Certainly, the glosses should be aligned - Nicolas used the ones from どころではない.
We already have それどころじゃない/etc. We don't need both. If this goes ahead I think それどころじゃない can be dropped.
