I thought it was our policy to only use id on expressions (see comments on 狼煙, 月並み, 電池切れ).
The vast majority of those 218 entries are expressions that end with nouns. There are several on that list (e.g. 波, 空気 難民) that I would definitely not consider idioms.

We have 218 entries with n+id tags, many 
of them compound nouns like this one. If 
we want to discuss changes to a large 
amount of entries, the mailing list is 
porbably the place for it.

I wouldn't consider "Christmas cake" a "group of words". It's a regular noun, and I don't believe nouns (by themselves) can be idioms. "Fruit cake" (meaning "eccentric person"), for example, isn't an idiom, but "nutty as a fruitcake" is.

I agree there probably is an argument for dropping the id tag.

i agree that this should not be marked as an idiom and we have had some short back and forths and compound nouns being idioms in the comments of various entries, but i agree that this should be raised on the mailing list

we should also consider what value the [id] label actually has.  since people can disagree on what an "idiom" is, it's not clear why we even need this tag.  it is usually pretty clear when a gloss does not match the literal meaning of the individual terms. i'm not sure why we need to tell people "this is an idiom" or not.  to my knowledge, i've never seen another kokugo, english dictionary or J-E that bothers with an idiom tag

The hiding of a form and just having a note is usually when it's usually a less common alternative way of writing that sense. Here a cannabis/marijuana sense would almost always be written クサ. If it's not visible, it should be in its own entry.

I think that there was a discussion at some point to create a new tag for Internet slang/2ch related entries. Would be a better fit.

daijirin and daijisen are usually good at including only the "official" kana forms.  
they have this, so not [io], i think.  perhaps a [sl] tag for sense 2?

It's not that this happens to sound like ちょんまげ, it IS the word ちょんまげ, used to mean ちょうだい 
for comedic effect. It's commonly uk, but so is the hairstyle.

Not sure I agree, Apart from the "sounds like" aspect, it's nothing to do with 丁髷. If it were to go anywhere else it would be in sense 3 of ちょうだい, but that's a step too far. I'd continue to have it alone.

It's hard to find an informative source on this word. A lot of hits come up when you search "レッツラゴー　死語", and the most common etymology traces it back to a pun on the title of the 70s manga レッツラゴン, so it's probably safe to say it's from the 1970s.

I meant "obs". My tablet's keyboard knows better.

I've now announced it. Hold off on "one", I think.

I think 2011 is too recent to considered "dated". To me, "dated" suggests that it hasn't been commonly used for at least a couple of decades.
That being said, this is definitely a 死語 (and was never particularly common to begin with) so maybe obs or obsc is appropriate here.
