this is not a duplicate.  both are entry ID 1208920; however, it appears that because an anonymous editor revived a rejected fork and Jim approved on that branch instead of rejecting, this one entry now has two approved branches. Well that's usually the case but I don't think it's mandatory.
It might be useful to have a tag for kanji applied to a term but which don't spell out the 
reading. We could use "ateji" as do many references, but it grates a bit.

I have referred this entry to some Japanese friends. Summary:「品が良い」has nothing to do with quality or expense...it is about taste, and it is close to 'refinement.' Hence, the translation should not refer to 'quality.' It should suggest taste. I suggest 'tasteful' or (in some contexts) 'genteel.'

OK, I'll create such an entry with your suggested translation.

We could have a separate entry for 時間を取られる but I don't think "to take up (someone's) time" would work as a gloss. The subject is the person whose time is taken up, not the activity which takes up the time. It literally means "to have (one's) time taken up".

A good point from Robin. The 3 Tanaka examples are in fact for とらせる/とられる. I think this needs to be recorded in some way. We could:
- have an entry for 時間を取られる/時間をとられる (to take up (someone's) time)
- have an extra sense here with a note about it being とらせる/とられる.
I suspect an additional entry might be best.

My first thought was it's obvious, but then on reflection I suspect it's worth having. All the JEs have it as their main example of 食い意地, and 張る is a bit opaque. Also 張って in some form dominates use of 食い意地. It's in a Tanaka sentence.
