That sense was added in 2007 by Paul Blay with the reference: "第１条 甲乙双方は、信義を重んじ、誠実に本契約を履行しなければならない。" and the comment "Generally in legal contexts. Hard to tell how common it is but 5,560 hits for 甲乙双方, 18,600 for 甲乙間."
Googling for 甲乙双方 brings up a lot of legal stuff. I suspect it's probably overdoing it to say it's a legal term per se. I think sense 1 is probably enough. 甲乙 is not in my legal glossaries.

While I can understand the Japanese OK, I think it's useful for people looking for the appropriate Japanese for the equivalent phrase in English, or to check if they've constructed something that's actually used in Japanese (as this expression clearly is). Yes, I'd looked at the ふうしゃ entries and not the かざぐるま ones. The windmill Wikipedia entry has both readings. I'll cancel it all.

Good question. The souroujiten site says "～したところ" which I think is rather context-dependent. It get about 1600 n-grams counts, and AFAICT they are split between pages of 候文 and names of weather stations.
We have quite a few 候X entries, so I'm reluctant to toss this one out.

I've added this to my to-do list for when the indices are back. I may do little or nothing.

I get 3087. I should have checked before deleting the entry. The options are:
(a) do nothing. Those sentences won't be picked up by 成る/なる, but there are already another 1535 sentences indexed to it.
(b) reindex those 3k sentences. Not a trivial task.

I think I agree with Rene's 5 year old view that this entry isn't needed - this is already covered by the なる entry. I'm not really 
convinced it's helpful to beginners, either. If they need this type of guidance, I'd much prefer to have a note on sense 1 in the な
る entry reading something like "usu. as ...になる". With all entries like this one, the risk is also we lead beginners into thinking 
the verb is "になる" rather than "なる" (sure, the entry is marked "exp", but if this entry is to help beginners who don't even know 
the meaning of に, do you expect them to be aware of the finer points of our PoS tagging system?). 
If we choose to keep it though, I can't really see why "becomes" etc. would be better than "to become"? They're essentially the same

I was thinking a lot about this entry the day Abe was shot, when officially the "心肺停止" lasted for several hours. I can't be sure this entry was the basis for it but I saw his condition referred to as "showing no vital signs" in English-language media and I felt a pang of guilt as I wasn't really sure this was an entirely accurate description (after the 心肺停止 was first announced, he was flown to a hospital and had 30 or so liters of blood pumped into him, before they finally announced his death). 

I'm wondering what other editors think, should maybe sense 2 be reworked into a note on sense 1?

I agree with Robin. This is too confusing. Besides, it's not "_usu._ in the negative" but always in the negative.

i always get confused about the notes on the negative glosses.  for example, does the english gloss that is given correspond to the headword (めどが立つ) or to the negative form mentioned in the note (～のめどが立たない)?  in some cases it is obvious but i don't think we have been consistent about this

When "adj-f" first emerged and got described as "noun or verb acting prenominally" I think I had in mind that the verb would either not be conjugating or was conjugated already, as in 得も言われぬ or ああいった. Then along comes 信用できる/信用できない and mucks things up. I'm very tempted to say that if a verb is usually prenominal, don't have a v1/v5x tag. I think that should work, and 信用できない can fend for itself. Of course 食べる doesn't get an "adj-f".

聯網 is used for the Internet in Chinese, and yes 物聯網 is IOT.

I found it in a Japanese document talking about China telecoms services.  The usage was 物聯網サービス

It's really Chinese but there are a few references in current Japanese literature.  Probably mostly talking about IOT in China.
I doubt that this will become a common usage in Japanese.  Mostly just of current interest.

I don't think we need it. In most of the links I found, it's referring to a governmental scheme/project rather than the concept of IoT itself.

Or "in Chinese".
Rene (in a forked thread) favoured rejecting it. Any other views? I won't lose sleep if it goes, but I might pop it in my "glossing extras" file for WWWJDIC.
