Comments: | OK, so it means "when used with verb in the affirmative, it's especially common as どうも~しまう" I get (now) what the note is trying to convey, but considering the sense is most commonly accompanied by a negated verb (daijr even makes a note of it: "(多く打ち消しの語を伴って)"), I think it's overly confusing. Out of the 10 example sentences for this sense in daij and GG5, only 2 are not with negated verbs, but neither is in the form of どうも~しまう(gg5 "どうもねえ" and daijr "どうも失敗ばかりする") |

Comments: | sense 5, again: "in positive sense, esp. どうも〜しまう" What does "in positive sense" mean here? _ Also, the odd character seems to get inserted whenever a line is too long to be displayed without an enter break in the "meanings" box, for me. It's a perfectly good translation when it's in a negated sentence if we also attach a も, yes, but I feel like such usage notes should be [notes] and then apply to every sense, and that the "even" is implied in the も, not in this word by itself. |

Comments: | We have 5 "misspelling" entries (G n-grams above). If ろにん goes, I think ロマンジ and 願わくわ can too, but probably こんにちわ and こんばんわ should stay as they get a lot of slang usage in Japan. On reflection I have no real problem with ろにん going; it's probably reached its use-by date. |

As in the example sentence (文法なんかくそくらえだ。 Grammar be hanged.). The reference links have a few examples translated as "dang silly", "nuts to that", and "stuff it". It shows up in the Japanese Harry Potter series as the translation for "codswallop". I've condensed those into "nonsense!" as a second meaning... please add, change, or delete as you see fit. |

Comments: | "Cosplay" is a pretty widely known (and used) term in English by now. Not 100% sure this needs to be an entry though, it's A+B and also the google results are a little unclear (I'd expect pages for events, etc. but no), and it's not in hatena or nicopedia. It's a little hard to get a grasp of what exactly a コスプレショー is supposed to be (runway/catwalk? a party? a general cosplay event/party)? |

It also has a "名" sense of "ほめそやすこと。喝采。" which I have tried to reflect in sense 1, making it "int" rather than "n". Of course it all could be rolled into one sense. |

Comments: | >"ジミンガー doesn't actually mean "blaming things on the Liberal Democratic Party of Japan". It's just an expression used to mock those who criticise the LDP." When people say things like "またジミンガーかよ" or "なぜ4条改正反対なのか、何故憲法改正反対なのか、ジミンガーを使わずに述べてほしい。", I think "blaming things on the LDP" is a perfectly fair translation. It's not great when it's used like this, though: "ジミンガー言う前に自身の“変態報道”& #偏向報道 を省みなさい!" I've tried revising it a little. _ >" a beginner learner or someone who isn't familiar with Japanese politics would have no idea what it means" I'm not a beginner learner and I'm familiar with Japanese politics but I was stumped when I saw this (as 悪性ジミンガ病 or sth like that). I'm sure lots of Japanese people who aren't on 2ch or discuss politics on twitter (i.e. the vast majority) would have no idea what it meant either (with or without the 病). Case in point, I just showed one of the ジミンガー tweets to a native speaker, and their interpretation was "地味な人ってこと?" I don't know that I would necessarily be opposed to including something like "but her e-mails" but one obvious difference is that this isn't actually stylized as "自民が・・・" where it's obvious what's intended and what each word is, i.e. it's as if "but her e-mails" were commonly stylized as "bthereemelz". |

Comments: | Perhaps not plenty more, but I don't consider this the sort of thing appropriate for a dictionary anyway. ジミンガー doesn't actually mean "blaming things on the Liberal Democratic Party of Japan". It's just an expression used to mock those who criticise the LDP. It would be like adding "But her emails" to an E->J dictionary. I think we can safely ignore it. Sure, a beginner learner or someone who isn't familiar with Japanese politics would have no idea what it means, but dictionaries don't need to cover every bit of written language. |

Comments: | Lolita is defined in 英英 dictionaries available online as "precociously seductive girl", "sexually precocious girl", but daijr's definition is actually "あどけない" e.g. innocent. They use it together with 女の子 rather than the initial "少女" though which I guess is slightly more ambiguous than 少女 and can also be translated as "childish young woman". _ Though the origin is the same, "Lolita" might actually not be a good translation of ロリータ, since there doesn't seem to be any nuance of precociousness, but possibly the opposite... but this is just what Daijr says though, I'm not sure how the actual usage looks like. |

Comments: | The proposed glosses don't work for the sentences I found. I can't see a way of translating what is essentially just a subject marker. Here, all it's doing is mocking the way people sound. |

Comments: | Tried to include some of Robin's suggestions into the note. (it ends up being pretty long again, but I think it's better to be clear than just concise) Could maybe still need some work. Having an example sentence or two associated with this entry would of course be immensely helpful. |

I also get 378 unique googits for "ネット工作員" site:http://2ch.sc That's despite the fact that 2ch's threads are continuously deleted when they are a couple of days (or so?) old. Slightly related is 見たり聞いたりためしたり which is the name of a 1947 movie https://movie.walkerplus.com/mv26693/ and the opening of a seemingly very popular quote from Soichiro Honda (Honda founder): "人生は見たり、聞いたり、試したりの3つの知恵でまとまっているが、多くの人は見たり聞いたりばかりで一番重要な、「試したり」をほとんどしない" It gets 0 ngram hits (both with ためしたり and 試したり) but around ~40 on twitter past 24 hrs (including bots. |

Comments: | Probably worth having because it's not like はい is usually used together with any other sentence-ending particle (はいね, はい ぞ, はいな, or whatever) |
