It slows one's progress, but the more one stomps on it, the more it hangs on. The expression seems to have been a political in-joke, with only occasional references in the news. Then we'd only have to do one reading, e.g. "ブルーノ・マーズ". A whole bunch of two+ word gairaigo entries would end up a lot clenaer too. I don't know how feasible it'd be, but it might be worth exploring? |
