I think a note is OK.
Shouldn't そうだ and そうです be separate entries? They're different politeness levels.
I'm not sure about int for sense 1 either but it might be the only option. The kokugos go with 助動詞 (auxillary verb) but we use aux-v for something quite different.

I was going to put the "after plain verb or adj" in a note, but is it really necessary?

  Comments:
I think "smoothly" should be fine for sense 2?

We did discuss pretty much this issue on the mailing list in February ("glosses not matching PoS").

One solution is to push the vs to the front and gloss it as "to be slimy; to be slippery", though this is pretty the one thing we decided
we wouldn't do back in Feb, on Robin's initiative. I would certainly not be opposed to it, though.

  Comments:
I'm happy with this as it is for now, so I'll approve it and reopen it to keep the general
issue going.
I can't help feeling that in the general situation with these beasties we need something
more than a combination of adjectival glosses and adv,adv-to,vs as POS. Also we can't have a
note for every one of them. I don't really want another (pseudo) POS.
11. A* 2018-12-06 22:59:13  Robin Scott <...address hidden...>
  Comments:
I don't think it's typically adj-f. Also, we should probably avoid using tag names in notes since they're meaningless to people who haven't read the help page.
While I do feel that every effort should be made to have the glosses agree with the leading PoS tag, these onomatopoeic adverbs can be a real pain.
It's an adverb first and foremost, so I think adv needs to come first, but adjective glosses are more useful than anything else.
There are hundreds of adverbs like this. It would be good to decide on a policy so that we're all on the same page.

まえつぼ is correctly written as 前壺, so this sense is correctly written as 壺. so if anything, this belongs as a sense of 壺 with 坪 as [iK]. however, this sense of 壺 doesn't seem to appear in any kokugo and it's not clear that it's common enough to be worth recording, so i would probably pass on it

  Comments:
I have a problem with this edit. Only that quoted source has 坪/つぼ with that meaning. It doesn't have that meaning in any kokugo or kanwa that I have checked. Also, the kokugos have 7 or 8 senses for 坪/つぼ which we don't because (a) no-one has proposed them, and (b) they're fairly rare. If we were to add this sense, I'd want to see the ones in the kokugos put in ahead of it. I've just approved 前つぼ without 坪 because it couldn't really be verified. I'll wait a short while, but I think this sense can't go in solo and certainly without better support.

I think the best thing is simply to reject it. The entry possibly could do with some tweaking but as usual, there needs to be a case made.

Whilst I agree that the most "typical"/"normal" なた is superficially somewhat similar to a cleaver (though not nearly as broad), a fundamental defining characteristic of a cleaver is still that it is a butcher/kitchen knife. (and again, the many significant differences I mentioned before)
There are many knives that a layman wouldn't be able to tell apart, just to look at them, that are nevertheless in very distinct and different categories. (the same applies to, e.g., axes)

...and many なた do not have that distinctive rectangular shape, as is clear from the references I mention. Note that 剣鉈 and 鉈鎌 are types of 鉈.

To me, the distinctive feature of a なた is the cleaver-like rectangular blade. (When I showed a picture several nata to my wife and asked her what she'd call them, she said "a cleaver".)

  Comments:
A cleaver is a butcher/kitchen knife.
It has a completely different purpose and also possess very different blades, to a nata. A lot broader blade (a lot broader than the handle, notably) and though they are relatively thick and sturdy, they are significantly less so, than a nata. A lot of typical uses of a nata (especially splitting wood), would utterly ruin any cleaver.
The closest thing to a nata, would be a machete or a hunting knife. (and ken'nata do look like the latter, as well as being used as such, in addition to its other uses)
It is neither, however, so it would be wrong to call it such.

The angle is notable (though not universal/required), but I guess it's not really necessary to mention.
Also the blade is often of uniform breadth (basically a rectangle) aside from ken'nata (剣鉈), which have a more typical knife shape as well as usually being straight, but the same applies to that, so no need to mention it either, I suppose.
Speaking of which: Adding an entry for 剣鉈 may be a good idea.

"Fat spread A general term for fatty bread spreads (yellow fats), including butter, margarine, and low‐fat spreads. Reduced fat
spreads contain not more than 60% fat, and low‐fat spreads not more than 40%, compared with 80% fat in butter and margarine. Very
low‐fat spreads contain less than 20% fat, and some as little as 5%." (A Dictionary of Food and Nutrition )

Spread that contains 60 to 62% of fat may be called "three-quarter-fat margarine" or "reduced-fat margarine". Spread that contains 39

I think this the related entries can go - as Robin noted it's really a grammar point. At the
same time sense 4 of 良い/いい should be expanded a bit to reflect this usage. I'm a bit
limited in my editing tools at the moment.
7. D* 2018-12-06 03:22:00  Marcus Richert <...address hidden...>

I don't think this (or てもいい) should be an entry. It's not really an expression but a grammar point. We don't have でよい/でもいい, which is just as valid.
5. A* 2018-11-29 14:42:31  Marcus Richert <...address hidden...>

Perhaps somewhat of an improvement. Still wish we'd move along on allowing for notes-only meanings.

https://www.japantimes.co.jp/news/2012/06/15/business/is-nursing-care-insurance-making-nursing-care-recipients-worse/
"Tokyo Shimbun reporter Nobuyuki Suzuki compared Japan’s nursing care system to Germany’s and France’s and found one glaring
difference. Japan’s system comprises seven categories of care: two for yoshien (support) and five for yokaigo (nursing care).
Support care level 1 is for seniors who can feed and bathe themselves and use the toilet without assistance — basically the
caregiver provides housekeeping services. Support care level 2 is the same but may also involve a minimal amount of body contact.
France and Germany do not provide services that are equivalent to yoshien 1 and 2, and thus their expenditures are manageable. The
cost of yoshien 1 support is about ¥50,000 a month; for yoshien 2, it’s ¥100,000."
