In general, we have included some pretty obscure kanji forms in plenty of entries. As long as they're properly marked as iK or oK, I don't think it's that much of an issue. Dictionary developers can decide for themselves how prominently (or not) they want to display these. |

Comments: | I'm not sure this is worth including. It's a full, modern sentence, and not found in any refs. There are a lot of variants with やらないで、やらぬ、よりも, etc. I feel a proverb needs to roll off the tongue more easily. |

Comments: | How about using the same gloss but without "2-year"? I would maybe change it to "form of automatically-renewing mobile phone contract with a limited cancellation window and high early cancellation fees". We could add a note like "usu. as 2年縛り or 4年縛り". Given that it's not always in the form "2年縛り", I think this is a better approach. |
|
8. | A* 2018-10-31 04:06:29 Jim Breen <...address hidden...> | |
Comments: | I don't see how anything meaningful can be added to 縛り which would help someone decode 2年縛り satisfactorily. It's really a very elliptical term. |
