For 「おい」, daijr/nikk/gg5 have similar notes as daijs. But meikyo/koj only note the familiar part.

Regarding 「おおい」, daijs has: 「遠くの人に呼びかけるときの声」. So while they both might be used for calling out, the situation is different. Probably best to split the long variants out (without [fam, male]) and note that they're used at a distance.

I think we'd be expanding the scope of [food] if we added it to those terms. If I'm not mistaken, it's currently restricted to cooking terminology and names of dishes. We don't tag words like ご飯, 砂糖 or 小麦粉 as [food], even though they're not used in any other contexts.

beef
the flesh of a cow, bull, or ox, used as food.

I don't think there's anything wrong tagging "beef" or various -肉 entries as [food]. Meats could be considered "raw ingredients", sure, but they are particularly cut and prepared from animal flesh to be used as food. Nobody uses words like 鶏肉 or 鶏肉 to talk about the flesh of chicken outside their use as food.
