Comments: | I'd like to propose re-adding 拐う. It's obscure, but it does see use. I've listed some references where 拐う is read さらう (and definitely not read かどう, which is archaic). |
Comments: | From the editorial policy's section on cross-references: ----- "Where the reference is to a particular headword/reading combination, use the format: kanji・reading, e.g., [see=金本位・かねほんい]." ----- So when the kanji form has more than one reading, include the reading. There are no guidelines on what to do in other cases. Some editors use the "kanji・reading" format for all x-refs. Others (including myself) tend to omit the reading (although sometimes I'll include it if it's unusual or unintuitive). I prefer this approach because I think it's neater. Also, if the kanji form is rare, I usually give the kana representation only. If the editors can reach an agreement, I'd be in favour of updating the editorial policy. |
