Apparently the "o" stands for "outdated".
龍 is the 旧字体 version of 竜. I thought the [oK] tag was created precisely for this.
I note that 龍 is marked as [oK] in the 竜【りゅう】entry (1629170).

I think we usually do not mark 龍 as obsolete
(We have 41 entries 龍, checking about 10 of them I did not see any [oK])
