Comments: | I think there are about 10 moons in the solar system worth having. Now we got most of them. ---- wiki: In Greek mythology, Charon ... is the ferryman of Hades who carries souls of the newly deceased across the river Styx ... A coin to pay Charon for passage ... was sometimes placed in or on the mouth of a dead person. |

Comments: | I'm just leaving a comment. This has been discussed on the Honyaku list in the context of ダブリ量. which has quite different meanings in a couple of contexts. The following comment is interesting: ===== I think ダブリ量 in the case of printing and ダブリ量 in the case of glass production are etymologically unrelated words and should be handled separately: in the first case it comes from English and refers to "doubling" i.e. overlap, whereas in the second case it refers to sagging and is related to だぶだぶ. Herman Kahn ==== I think he is right. I wondered about about making a third sense for this entry, but I think it's really too obscure. Hence this note. |
