I think this entry might be improved by adding the nuance of "tight curve". Consider the sentence "この先、カーブがあります" which my navi says ahead of very tight curves only.

http://ejje.weblio.jp/content/泥んこ
  Comments:
There is another use of this word I've run across a few times that doesn't really mean "morass", but I'm not quite sure how to phrase it, particularly as a noun. For example, at the reference link, one example sentence is 少年は顔中泥んこになって帰って来た -- "the boy returned with his face covered with mud"... you wouldn't say "his face had become a morass of mud". Or in the sentence I just found in the book I'm reading: 両手は泥んこなのが自分でも良く分かっていた -- he knew that both his hands were covered in mud. Again, "morass of mud" doesn't really fit. So I'm not sure whether it would be best to add a noun meaning here like "muddy thing", or if it should be a na adjectival like "muddy".

Each time I've run across this word in the past and looked it up here, I've had the same dilemma about what to add, but in the past I just gave up. This time, though, I thought I'd leave a comment and let you decide what might be best :-)

Many of the kokugos only have one reading or the other. I think it would be good to keep both readings.
Since this is a relatively rare expression, I think we can hide all but the first kanji form.

Koj is a bit old-fashioned with okurigana (and many other things). The JEs and more modern kokugos stick very much to 流行/りゅうこう and 流行り/はやり. I'm not sure whether Tyler is suggesting a (re)merge of the entries, or just adding 流行[io] to the はやり entry. I wouldn't object to the latter.

Thank you Robin, those comments explained a lot and I will keep that all in mind. I've only just now seen usage [note] tags here and there, and *just now* realized the "Sense note" field in "advanced search" lets you find existing examples.

The [note] is a better approach than what I did. And sorry, yes, I was as bit uncomfortable calling that gloss [lit]. I will not do that in the future.

I see the mailing list is posted online, I'll make an effort to read through things and catch up, especially on NG.

We use adj-i in cases like this because we want sites/apps to be able to handle inflected forms. Separating inflectional information from PoS tags is something that's been proposed for JMdict: NG. See the link above.
I think ellipses used in conjunction with a note help to show how this expression is used.
Transitivity tags are not used on expressions.
手がつかない would need to be a separate entry.
A lit gloss should be a word-for-word translation. It wouldn't be helpful here.

Small change, I think "focus" is a better gloss for the meaning I've suggested. "unable to focus on work" vs. "unable to concentrate on work", this is mostly stylistic, I think, but google counts seem to roughly support this intuition.

If this were treated as [vi], it really should be "to be unable to focus". And perhaps
[lit] (said of something) to not hold one's attention

If this is merely [adj-i], how do we get from here to 仕事が手につきません...

======

sankoku and daijs both use 集中 (concentration (on a task); focusing one's attention)
nikk uses 身が入らない (can't: to give one's everything; to make one's best effort; to be enthused; to put your back into it)

Daijs is the only kokugo that has this.
I'm not sure if senses 2 and 3 are actually separate senses.
Source for sense 2 is ウィズダム和英辞典:
"彼はくせ球を投げる
【野球で】He throws junk balls.【一般に】He takes unorthodox [surprising] measures. He says and does unexpected things."
Example in the Nikkei article above.
