Wikipedia xref is actually to "Kinship", or I probably wouldn't have thought to include "kin". But eijiro also has it.

I don't think "relation" really fits here (except as a longer "blood relation"), and it's practically absent on reverso:

Hi, I noticed that the word "nation" had been removed from this entry.

I do not contest that it is confusing, but I am not quite sure a user of this dictionary would get the correct impression from this entry now.

It would be quite important to state that the sense of the word "people" used here is the one that (in English) can be used in the plural ("peoples"}.

Keeping "nation" would be one way to achieve that.

I have added the word "folk" here, hoping to give a similar effect.

At least in fantasy fiction, it is often quite accurate.

For example, I have captured this screenshot from a game: https://i.imgur.com/VLUxfl3.png

The word as used in thescreenshot could alternatively be translated as "tribe" too.

I cannot say anything about the two other translations given because I have not come across the word often elsewhere.

I hope this is all right with you.

黄葉 [こうよう] leaves turning yellow in the autumn; yellow leaves
紅葉 [こうよう] leaves turning red in the autumn; red leaves
紅葉;黄葉 [もみじ] [1] autumn colours [2] maple [3] layered garments [4] venison
it seems prudent to split out the two こうよう entries, not vice versa

According the OED the word came to Europe via Portuguese and it's from the Guarani (Paraguayan language) "nana".
Bromeliad is sort-of Latin. It's from the Bromelius, the Latinized name of Olaf Bromel, the Swedish botanist.
I'll make the source for this "por"; I don't think we have a code for Guarani.

in general, is ルミナス a trustworthy source for okurigana, or do they do that thing that nikkoku and old versions of kojien do, where they write all the headwords as kanji-only without any okurigana in them? (i don't think i've ever looked at ルミナス.)

i feel like it should be 姨捨て, and 姨捨 would be io except in compounds (or names). i also think 姥捨 might be io in the 姥捨て entry

You're right. I should have looked more closely at the entry.
ルミナス和英辞典 has:
おばすて 姨捨

The Wikipedia article begins: "Ubasute (姥捨て, "abandoning an old woman", also called obasute ....".
