  Comments:
Fixed. When a kanji headword occurs in more than one entry, the example links can and do go to the wrong entry. They can be qualified by including the reading. The solution was to make sure that the sentence indices contain "機関(きかん)", which stops them from being associated with this one.
4. A* 2016-09-26 03:46:27  Stephen Christenson <...address hidden...>
  Comments:
The example sentence showing for this entry refers to a
different word with a shared, alternate kanji (機関(きか
ん)) and is thus irrelevant to this entry.

I'd say it's more formal, which often means it's used in more nationalistic contexts. I feel a note about that would be more of a clutter than anything really useful. Any other views?

My teacher mentioned that the にっぽん reading often gives off a nationalistic overtone. Is it worth adding a note? Could be helpful.

I can find no evidence of the *verb* かおる being written with the 芳 kanji. 芳 is occasionally written for the *name* かおる, and one can see it sometimes as 芳る, e.g. a place near Tokushima, but I need examples of it in use as a verb to agree to it being included here.

Yes, since we already have 腹が減る as an entry, the only reason to have 腹が減った would be if it had an idiomatic meaning not evident from the original. In this case there's no idiomatic usage.
