The point is not that it's obscure; it's wrong. Given that it's so rarely used I think putting it as a headword, even with an "iK" tag is giving it too much credence. No 国語 has it searchable.
I realise I may be just a minority of one in this, and if other editors agree with Johan, well let it happen.

Since meaning and reading are the same, it would be strange to split.
Note that we have many other common entries with obscure headwords, for instance 添う(そう) and 仕舞う(しまう).
In both the kanji form is used <0.1%.

I'm no expert.
Tanaka has three 3rd person examples for 亡夫; that's why I thought "my ..." was too restrictive.
We already use "one's ..." for 亡兄, 亡弟, 亡児, 亡妻, 亡妹
gg5 uses "my ..." and/or "one's ..." for the 亡~ words
2. A* 2016-06-19 09:22:36  Jim Breen <...address hidden...>
  Comments:
Most of the JEs have "my ..." or "one's ..." for these 亡X words. ルミナス says "内は格式ばった語".
I don't think we really have a suitable tag to indicate that it's an in-the-family sort of word. Our "fam" is a bit different. The amended versions could be interpreted more widely than is the case. Maybe "(one's) late father", etc?
