I don't mind multiple glosses if the meaning is a bit blurry, when it so often is. Many people look things up via the glosses, so limited and precise glosses are not always that useful.
Despite that Wiki page, I'm not really sure that the 現代美術/近代美術 split is as well defined in Japan as modern/contemporary art is in English. That said I have no problems with the entries as you've proposed them.
