Comments: | Well, an "iK" tag is signalling a misspelling. I like them to be included and tagged if they are common enough to be noticed. I Googled for 鉄叉 and looked at the images. There were quite a number of railway junctions shown (I just gave one example.) |

Comments: | yourei examples (there are 70) are all about branches (of trees), leaves, parts of plants, antlers of deer, human bones, and other biological structures. Wikipedia searches produce similar. Never heard the word "furcate" (bifurcate of course I know), but as a technical term it seems correct... In lieu of examples (e.g. of antlers, tree branches, leaf structures...), tagged [bot] and [biol]. "叉状研歯" will get you images of Joumon-man, with front teeth filed to three points. "dichotomous" seems overly precise, "two" does not seem to be implied. (This term should probably not be used in most places someone might use dichotomous in English, so I think it should either be removed or clarified. Does not, for example, seem to apply to classification systems, or black-and-white/either-or issues). |
