Both GG5 and the Igaku glossary have "fermentation technology", but I think it's odd. 工学 is almost always "engineering", although I see we have 生殖工学/reproduction technology.

I didn't know about 発酵学. I would gloss this fermentation engineering, since it's about the study of 技術 and gloss 発酵学 zymology.

Scott added this because Wikipedia links them. Compare the definitions: "発酵工学とは、微生物を利用して、酒や味噌といった発酵食品を作る技術を研究・開発する学問" "Zymology is an applied science which studies the biochemical process of fermentation and its practical uses."

This seems very similar to me. So even though gg5 has the gloss "fermentation technology", this seemed inaccurate to me. It's a 学問, a science, not a technology. This is backed up by the fact that Wikipedia also links to a chair of 発酵工学.

It's not huge, but it's also only for this value of 込み. And I think that it's more important to give the right information to our users than to have an entry that looks "pretty". But then maybe these results are not enough to be significant. That's not for me to judge.

Googling for "６目半込み", with quotes, gave me 21 hits.
In 20 of these it is actually part of ６目半込みだし,
which is a separate entry.

gg5 is God! More seriously, I can find some relevant hits searching for "６目半込み" (with quotes). I'll let you judge if it's enough, but usually EDICT is quite inclusive when it comes to alternate spellings (which I like).
