Comments: | Is there any way to restrict a kanji form to a particular sense (rather than the other way round)? 序ノ口 is only used in the context of sumo, but not exclusively so. Adding a [restr=序ノ口] tag to the second sense would restrict 序の口 to the first sense (which is wrong). |

Comments: | I was mystified by your comments until I found the quoted chiebukuro Q/A. It seems it's confused with 炒め飯/いためめし. Not sure we should be adding it as a here with a "confused with" sense? Or perhaps a "いためし" irregular reading put on the 炒飯 entry? |

Comments: | Not sure how to handle this in (add this to) JEDIC, but there is also a Japanese version of "itameshi" that is unrelated to Italy: 炒飯 (in Okinawa called "chaahan", from Chinese "chao3fan4"). A local NS informant tells me that many call it "yakimeshi" 焼飯, but I cannot vouch for the two terms having the same connotations (it is likely that there are regionally different ingredients and regionally different ways of making the end product that could lead to different terms being used). |

3. | A 2016-12-10 11:36:49 Jim Breen <...address hidden...>
Comments: | Yes, that sums it up. A lot of "adj-na,n" cases seem to be only adjectives, but Daijirin has them as 名|ナリ. I'd be happy to drop the "n" from many. |
|
2. | A* 2016-12-09 13:59:32 Johan Råde <...address hidden...>
Comments: | The glosses usually conform to the first PoS. So [n,adj-na] should have noun glosses and [adj-na,n] should have adjective glosses. Normally we use [n,adj-na]. Use [adj-na,n] if the word is mostly used as a na-adjective. Use [adj-na] if it only is used as a na-adjective. |
