I think we agreed on the mailing list that
vs should not lead for noun-is words,
which typically are n, vs, adj-na, adj-no.
I'm not sure that discussion applies to on-min,
which typically are adv, adv-to, vs.

  Comments:
(a) no problem putting うそうそ/ウソウソ into a separate entry. I added them here in 2013 on the basis of GG5, etc. simply pointing to うろうろ. I'll set up an entry for them,
(b) Yes, I've looked at that email thread on PoS/gloss structure for these beasties. It's the not-uncommon problem that Daijirin tags it as "( 副 ) スル", but GG5 and the other JEs only have する/して/etc. glosses and examples.
Daijirin has an adverbial sense and two vs senses which match the two in GG5, so I'll propose a similar 3-way split.

When this was discussed on the mailing

17. A* 2022-11-26 04:37:33  Stephen Kraus <...address hidden...>
  Comments:
There's a tool here that attempts to decipher censored text such as う○こ:
http://fuseji.net/

Applications such as jisho.org also support regex wildcard searches. For example a search for "う?こ" will bring up all possible matches.
IMO, handling these sorts of forms seems outside the scope of jmdict's capabilities.

I don't think "col" is needed. Children's language is colloquial by default.
I don't think う○こ should be included. All sorts of words can be censored using ○; I think it's unlikely that users would look up them. Also, ○ isn't kana. It would need to go in the kanji field but having an sK form as the only kanji form on an entry is problematic.

I think it's fine to move the "ichi" tags between kana forms. I don't think that publication bothered whether these terms were in one kana or the other.
For other terms it's probably better to demote them (e.g. to ichi2 or news2) and add a "spec1" on the replacement.

Most of the kokugos have "Inglez" as the source (Nikk is an exception.) I feel having both is best.

  Comments:
Not sure what the merit is of having the old spelling of this word. The pronunciation hasn't changed. It's a bit jarring, as a Portuguese speaker. Also, it's not a proper noun in Portuguese, so no need for a capital letter at the beginning.

Pretty much any Japanese word can be written in katakana.
I think we should only include the katakana if it is reasonably common.
I don't think ケイサツカン qualifies.
6. A* 2017-08-02 01:54:07  Jim Breen <...address hidden...>
  Comments:
Some non-JMdict sites using ケイサツカン:
http://aaaaaa.co.jp/job/?p=152
https://www.no-ichigo.jp/read/book/book_id/620525
http://dic.nicovideo.jp/a/ザ・警察官
etc.
Note that it's not a reading of 警察官; it's more an alternative written form.
Frankly I don't care too much whether it's there or not. I'll just note that without it WWWJDIC's text-glossing will not handle it in katakana.
5. A* 2017-08-01 14:43:14  Mark Gaensicke <...address hidden...>
  Comments:
I'm posting this edit for the sake of clarification and better understanding the
Japanese language: The (alternative) reading ケイサツカン is uncommon and was
deleted, then re-added to this entry before. I searched Google for any uses of it
but only other sites using JMdict data came up. Google suggested the kanji word
as search term. It would be good to state the marginal usage of this katakana
reading to avoid confusion. Thank you!

i have some problems with this being a noun. a) i don't see a ref for it, b) if anything, it should be a pronoun not a noun, c) it doesn't really make sense because it's not used as a noun. the も is still clearly acting as a particle because you just say 誰も知らない not 誰もは知らない. just exp makes the most sense, as in daijr

Shouldn't it be AにはBが? "A... A" implies it's the same word used twice.
