I gave up trying to split this into senses. It's a rather fine distinction and the glosses overlap quite a bit.

It's a fine line. 中辞典 splits it into 3 senses and GG5 has it as one. I wouldn't object to it being split, but with over 200 example sentences I wouldn't relish reindexing them.

[vt]: meikyo, smk, iwakoku

Some of the kokugos split into multiple senses ("to receive an education (at a university)", "to learn a lesson from an experience", etc.).
Prog also splits into 3 senses.
Not sure how much of that is needed.
