Comments: | Hm. I should point out I did find a handful of entries in daijr which are read -さん but given as -様, namely いとさん【愛様・幼様】 (ksb) はばかりさん【憚り様】(ksb) てきさん【敵様】(arch) (also in daijs) I still think we should split though because -様 for -さん is definitely archaic and only relatively modern in ksb, at best. It's a strenuous connection for a merge esp. as it's in nikk alone - we don't merge entries based on nikk's lack of okurigana, for example. |

Comments: | I wrote a whole treatise here, if you'd like to read it, just reject this edit and I'll make the argument. "Scott" tried to remove "catholicity" in 2016 at the same time that he noticed a dup with "普偏性". With an "I'm inclined to agree" from Jim, the dups got merged, but "catholicity" returned. I don't know if this was intentional or not. If it was an oversight, then we're all on the same page, and I can save you the time :) If you like, here's an excellent discussion here with many contrasting views on limited recognition of "small-c catholic" in the English-speaking world(this was all new to me). https://english.stackexchange.com/questions/208949/catholic-with-a-small-c |

Comments: | Gray zone. The name of a person, place etc is clearly a name. But here we are dealing with the name of a named object. Such names are harder to distinguish from regular words. Other examples might be the Hubble Space Telescope and the Koh-i-Noor diamond. I feel names of named objects can stay in the main dict. |
