Most of the XX版 entries are a bit non-obvious. This is rather clear, as are 日本語版 and 英語版 (which we have, and are in GG5 in different senses!)
I guess it can go, but should we keep 日本語版 and 英語版? I guess the "語" makes them a bit different.

Comments noted. It could be quite ephemeral, never really catch on, etc. Since it's an alterntive kanji form, I guess we can bend and add it, but I'll mark it as "iK" which means it's "irregular kanji". If it get more common over the years, that tag could be dropped.
