Comments: | Yes, maybe it's better not to add "adj-no" as a POS, and better to change the adjective "late-stage" to the noun form "late stage". . I agree about "third trimester" and I think "second semester" could be added too. . One dictionary has: the latter [second] half year; 《米国》 the second semester (2学期制の学校の) |

1. | A* 2013-09-26 04:30:03 Richard Warmington <...address hidden...> | |
Comments: | This is a strange term, because the literal meaning is "late period impressionism", which is not what "POST- impressionism" is. Nevertheless, it became established and it's found in dictionaries. However, the Wp article suggests that it is now somewhat deprecated in favour of several other terms. . I suggest that 後期印象派 be labelled "deprecated" in this entry and that there be links to the other terms, none of which are in EDICT as yet, I think: 印象後派 ポスト印象派 後印象派 . The Wp article adopts ポスト印象派 for its title. . Alternative spelling "Post-Impressionism (also spelled Postimpressionism[1]) is the term coined by the British artist and art critic Roger Fry in 1910 ..." [Wp] |

Comments: | apologies, the daij definitions were for 文化生活, not 生活文化. (for which 新和英中辞典 has: "文化生活 a decent [civilized] life; a reasonable standard of living") |

Comments: | I've read them several times, and I am no closer to really understanding it. Maybe "culture of everyday life" is OK. FWIW KOD has "the culture of 「everyday [daily] life; culture rooted in 「everyday [daily] life." |

Comments: | Quite common term, but without a clean translation. I see things like "Life and Culture". Eijiro suggests "lifestyle". |
