Comments: | "heat stroke" is spelled "heatstroke" everywhere else in jmdict. FWIW, it seems to be commonly spelled both ways on the internet. Wikipedia uses the two-word form, Britannica the one-word form. Bing report 600Kh for one-word, 1Mh for two-word. Maybe it's a US/UK English thing. Either way it probably should be spelled consistently. |

Comments: | Daijr has a "感" sense of "ほめはやす時に発する語。 「 −,−の大喝采」" which pretty much lines up with the JE's example-based "やんやに/やんやの" usage. It also has a "名" sense of "ほめそやすこと。喝采。" which I have tried to reflect in sense 1, making it "int" rather than "n". Of course it all could be rolled into one sense. |
