Looks fine to me.

GG5 and Daijirin have one sense, in GG5's case with "intention" in with all the other glosses. ルミナス has 5 senses and 新和英中辞典 has 6, but they differ wildly on the splits.

I think if "intention" is a different sense, then sense 1 needs splitting too. I'll construct something along the lines of 中辞典/ルミナス

I think that an *accurate* definition might be

Well, one dictionary says fingertip = extreme end or tip of a finger, and that's my notion 
of a fingertip. 
That's a part of the finger even smaller than the distal phalange. A fingertip (or the tip 
of a toe) does not have a joint, and yet there are many thousands of websites referring to 
指先の関節. So clearly, there is a difference between 指先 and fingertip (or tip of the toe). 
As Marcus suggests, 指先 appears to be somewhat larger than fingertip. We just don't have an 
exactly equivalent word in English. I suggest that "fingertip" might work in some cases, 
but "finger" might be more appropriate in other cases (and similarly with "tip of the toe" 
and "toe").

I think this idiomatic enough and common enough (250k in the ngrams) to include. 2 examples in the Tanakas.

I was simply agreeing with you that the origin of the word in 
English (greige) is probably the French grège, rather than 
what Wiktionary says (combination of gray + beige).

I think I'll stick with that gloss, which is in Daijirin.
