Comments: | I'm wondering if this phrase also has a meaning like "last chance" or "no second chances" or "no more chances". I ran across it in a context where it seems to mean that, but I couldn't find a clear definition online. At the first reference link it seems to be used that way as well-- これで失敗したら後がない -- which I assume means something like "if you screw up now, there's no second chance". And at the second reference link, ま、こっちも後が無いから, is translated as " I may not have another chance." I've not added the meaning for now, but if you think it's appropriate, please do. |
