The passive [尻にしかれる] seems to be much used with a general meaning of: "The wife has more power than the husband." Maybe that is obvious. I am not sure whether your criteria would allow a comment in the description so I have not added that modification, but it may help if something could be included.

It might be best to drop the kanji altogether. Nikk also has entries for 御頭/おかしら, 御頭/おつむり and 御頭/あとう, none of which is in jmdict.

No other ref has kanji for this. I think お頭/御頭 is much more likely to be おかしら or おあたま.

(I meant sense 1 of とまる.) Yes, I agree. A native speaker has commented on Tatoeba that they are all とまる. I think I'll just close this off, and if anyone points out that sentence X is better as やまる, I'll change it.

i would guess that most example sentences are とまる.

Yes, at the time the sentences were linked there was only one 止まる entry. It is now split into 3. I have modified the indices; connecting them to either とまる or とどまる. I can't easily work out which should be とまる sense 2 or やまる sense 2, so at present やまる is missing out.
Any ideas?
