This "RH" headword is how I see it used, but the reading remains common.
If that is correct, then maybe the main headword above should form the entry, but with "重箱読" included as the principal headword.

Yes, I know that cicada and locust are not the same, and that 蝉 is a cicada, but many Americans call cicadas "locusts", so JE dictionaries tend to have both. The 中辞典 has "《米》 a locust" in its 蝉 entry.

I feel this is very subtle. Both Kojien and Daijrin give 必用 as a meaning for 必要 and vice versa. It could be split, with 必用 xrefed to 必要, or there could be a note saying 必用 implies something has to be used rather than is just needed, or we can leave it how it is.... Comments?
