Comments: | Typo [performer]. (Was just browsing around and happened to see it) That said, I imagine the gloss should match the referenced entry for 七変化? (That's what I changed it to) Stylistically I'd drop [his] and use "dance in which the performer quickly changes clothes seven times" for both entries, but I'm not going to mess with the other entry over style preferences. Anyway, only here to warn about the typo, no personal stake in this. I also changed the sense from [3] to [1], as the entry for 七変化 was re-ordered 2023-01-08. ~~ I got curious about the ninja reference and started researching the sources. Best guess: Some museum curator at the Iga-ryu Ninja Museum misheard/misread something somewhere, and put 七化 on a public-facing sign in a popular exhibit, which sat in place for the next 2 decades. It gained little traction until someone thought to copy/paste the museum reference into wikipedia (August 2009, definitely more recent than the museum). It then became a part of a bunch of students' wikipedia copy/paste homework assignments "give a presentation about ninjas". And here we are. Still not overly common, and I can't find 七化 in the 忍者 context, except as 七方出... 七化とも呼ばれ。 (The apparent Chinese Embassy of Japan hand-drawn 七化 entry being an odd exception...) So, I'll leave my reference digging just in case this ever comes up again. |

Comments: | - From Google images, 髪ゴム seems to primarily be used to mean simple, usually black hair ties, often with a decoration at one point (though sometimes with no decoration at all); but it also looks like it's occasionally to mean the large hair ties completely covered in decorative fabric. - Google images for シュシュ, on the other hand, seem to all be for that last type, not for the simple black type. - Images for "hair tie" seem to follow roughly the same pattern as 髪ゴム: mostly the simple type, with some of the シュシュ type. - Images for "scrunchie" seem to mostly be the シュシュ type, but also some of the 髪ゴム type. - I'm torn on whether to include "scrunchie" as a second gloss: it'd make it easier to find this going E->J, but I don't want to make users think it leans too heavily to meaning the シュシュ type. |

Comments: | Already in enamdict. The general policy is only to have capital and other really major city names in JMdict. |

Comments: | Images "all over the place" is usually a sign that Google is showing images for components rather than the full term. |

Comments: | English Wiki claims this is かかと蹴り, but the descriptions for axe kick and かかと落とし match up. かかと落とし also gets far more hits than かかと蹴り, and Google images for かかと落とし seem to uniformly be for a kick where the heel is brought straight down, whereas かかと蹴り image results are all over the place. |
