unfortunately, 五十音 is defined as "Japanese syllabary". so i'm not sure that adding gojūon adds much meaning here. and it's not in any of my english dictionaries, so it probably would need an expl.

maybe just "Japanese syllabary order" to match 五十音?

I do not know whether this is of any interest, but by mistake I searched for "ぶぶん" in the Combined Jpn-Eng. Naturally I would expect to see the entries in the special dicationaries come up, but I did not expect to see so many other entries, including a repeat of the main entry above. The list was as follows:-

くそ is quite a bit tamer than "shit" so I propose leading with "damn". I don't think "bullshit" works.
I don't think col is needed on senses 3 and 4. Also, these senses are prefixes according to the kokugos.
Added an adj-na sense.
I've tried improving the ...もくそもない sense. Also, I've changed the PoS to [n]; although we're translating the expression "...もくそもない", くそ itself is still a noun.

Not really such a "bummer". The translation was only a one-liner, so there was
not a lot of context to go on, and as crowd-sourced translators, we are
anonymous to the client. Anyway, I learned something, and best of all, I was
able to add to EDICT a definition that isn't in the commercial JE dicts ;-)

I did wonder whether "mental dry run" is a phrase whose meaning would be
readily understood, but I think it's ok -- here's an example from the Web:
"when we watch other people's actions the motor system of our brain lights
up in a kind of mental dry run"

It was hard to find much info on this word. It looks like it probably comes from a contraction of この畜生. It's part of the title of Ken Noguchi's book 100万回のコンチクショー, which I saw translated as "A Million Curses", and I found it in a book where a character is muttering frustratedly to himself, which is in line with the first reference link, where someone describes it as a curse word you say to yourself, rather than at someone else.
