Yes, 醬 is another of the 表外漢字字体表 brigade, having made the JIS X 0212 -> Unicode journey. 醬油 is getting about 3% of the Googits that 醤油 is getting, so still rK.

Looks fine for the readings. But 「醬油」 is the headword in newer editions of meikyo, smk, and other kokugos. These also have 「正油」 in their notes.

At first I thought せうゆ might have been 旧仮名遣い for 醤油 but I see that's シヤウ in all the kokugos. せうゆ in fact is not in any kokugos, but the Q/A quoted seems to indicate that it is an old reading - it's an interesting discussion.
We don't usually include 旧仮名遣い but I think せうゆ can probably stay as "old kana".

Yes, it's a rare JIS 0212 kanji which has nothing to do with 軽 except that it looks like the RHS. If people use it as an abbreviation in signs that's fine, but if it's to go in an entry it probably should be in a new one just covering sense 2 and giving context.

I notice there was no response to my earlier comment about this entry.  I've now run across that usage in three different books, so I'll hope you'll reconsider including it.  It's the meaning as in "例のあの人" (the translation of "you-know-who" in the Harry Potter Japanese versions), which is a meaning like "that X" (例のあの人 would be "that guy"), where X isn't necessarily "aforementioned" or "said". 

I also saw it as "例の包み" ("that package (which he had earlier retrieved)") and "例の子供達" ("those kids (who have been in the newspapers lately") and "例のコンピューター" ("that computer (that the vice-principal keeps using")).


I might put the meaning as "that (person or thing)" or "those (persons or things)", although that doesn't fully capture it, but it might be too wordy to say "that (person or thing that is well-known or has previously been a topic of discussion)" (noting again that "aforementioned" doesn't really capture it, because the prior mention may have taken place "offscreen").  When I've seen it, there's also a nuance of the thing in question perhaps being somewhat notorious or mysterious.

i think it should remain.  all the usual sources have it, and it's not obvious that something that ends with の can be used as an adverb, though i think that usage is archaic

Let's pull the plug.

I came across it used "ですますで話す" or something like that on 
some random page online (I don't think it was the exact one I 
posted as a ref) which is why I added it, but I agree that the 
search results aren't all that convincing.

I recall my Japanese teachers using "ますです' quite a bit, but it may be something that gets used in JSL instruction, but not in real written Japanese. Even "ますです体" only gets 113 hits, and many are from here.
I suspect this one is not real enough for inclusion, especially as anyone looking for it will find ますです体.

i get a huge number of false positives for this, e.g. mostly stuff like 「...と思っています。 ですが...」or people using both ます and です to end a sentence: 「今月も任務完了してますです」.  also, the example provided definitely doesn't convince me that it's a noun.

ますです is far more common.

I am suggesting promotion of this because the main entries in the dictionary do not give this general concept of distribution. They are mostly about dividends, for example:-

配当 【はいとう】 (n,vs) dividend; share; (P)
配当表 【？】 list of dividends; WI2

Whereas, when it is used in the context of "学年別漢字配当表" it is certainly not about dividends.

It may be the case that you would prefer to add the general concept of "distribution" to "配当 【はいとう】 (n,vs) dividend; share; (P)" and then maybe this submission would be unnecessary; although I would prefer to see its inclusion as well as it gives a good understanding to both "lists" and "distribution" in a very common usage manner.
