I took the decision at the time not to add 襲 to the 重ね entry. I now think that was a wrong decision. Rene wanted an additional sense restricted to 襲. I see from the Google ngrams that 重ねの色目 is almost as frequent as 襲の色目, so I'm suggesting making it a note instead of a restriction.

The Kenkyusha 新和英中辞典 has 小高い丘 as "a small hill" which fits that sentence quite well. I've proposed an entry for 小高い丘, and if it's accepted I'll relink the sentence to that one.

Hi, the example sentence, 私たちの学校は小高い丘の上にあります, "Our school stands on a hill", does not illustrate the meaning of 小高い very clearly. It is not clear how the translation would differ if 小高い was omitted.

That's what I would have thought, and that may be "correct usage," but in practice it seems that there might be an overall tendency to use 痛み even for the "damage" sense. For example, I get the following figures:

(about 20% higher usage for 痛, even though it's the "damage" sense)

There's a problem in that めっちゃ is aligned with 目茶 and 滅茶 (both ateji), and  むっちゃ (if it has kanji at all) would be 無茶 (as with むちゃ). It probably should be merged with 1530670 (無茶/むちゃ).

No, the author whose book I was translating was using kocchia/tonburi as a way to describe the arabic food couscous.  That led to a google search which gave me the information I posted earlier.  Of course, 
the author may not have entirely known what she was saying.  The book is "Golden Time 6", published in 2013 or so.
