Comments: | Probably the cleanest thing. In fact, GG5 has no kanji in its ふるさと entry. There are 68 sentences; one with ふるさと and 67 with 故郷. My guess is that many people seeing 故郷 would think "ふるさと". For ふるさと 中辞典 has 【古里・故郷】. Should we have "ふる里,古里,故郷" or leave at is it is now? Certainly Googits for 故郷+ こきょう are far lower than for 故郷+ふるさと. |

Lack of support from other dictionaries is considered reason for [iK] (which is what I've done tentatively) 2. Combine this entry and 1671400 (which is what I actually lean towards).
