Comments: | Basing gloss off of 一本締め and adding an xref. Is there support for this being used at the beginning of something, rather than the end? The Wiki ref and daijr both say it's a type of 手締め, which they both say are used at the conclusion or completion of something. |

Comments: | Since we have an entry for へりくだる (I just added "uk" to it), I doubt へりくだった is really needed. へりくだる itself is more common. |

Comments: | According to 大辞林 and anecdotal evidence, へりくだった just means "in a humble manner". In the worst meaning it can refer to someone being overly humble to suck up to someone else, but I think "condescending" is misleading. |
