Comments: | I have tried again this morning. Repeating search for "確保" and then I clicked examine and I got the correct result. Before making the original submission, I check several times, making sure that the dot was in the right circe, but getting the same odd result, but all seems fine now. Just one of those things, I guess. |

Refs: | I'm not sure. I'm doing a related translation at the moment and I may have a clearer idea when I'm finished. I'll come back to comment in another day or so. Here are some quotes from the proz.com page I quoted previously. (Did you read them already?) . In Japan, 内定means you are selected to be hired, but it is not final or official yet, but you are most likely hired for the job for sure though. I would say "Presentation of tentative employment" or "Presentation of unofficial employment presentation" . I hope this will help you. . Ceremony for commitment of employment Explanation: 内定commitment [by an employer] of employment [of a prospective employee] . It [i.e. the word "ceremony] sounds too awkward in English environment. The company invites those new recruits to get acquainted to the company environement and get to know their new employer, its leaders, its workplace etc., in which they start working soon. This can happen in non-corporate situation and organizations as well as some companies. Then it is a party, not a ceremony. . 内定式 Welcoming Party for Next FY's Recruiting Finalists . 内定式 Employment Candidate Orientation Explanation: Since they are not definite hires, they can be considered employment candidates. Also, the word "orientation" describes the process of the candidate and company getting to know each other, while leaving room for interpretation in cases where the event is very casual, such as a party. Peer comment: Agree. This term is used in my company. |

Refs: | KOD追加語彙 has the following long gloss: "a job offer [an offer-of-employment] ceremony; the ceremony at which 「an employer makes a candidate a job offer and the candidate confirms his or her intention to take it [employer and candidate make an undertaking that the candidate will join the company]." Daijr: "企業の新卒採用活動において,内々定を出した学生を集めて内定通知を渡すイベント。普通,10 月 1 日に実施する。内定者や社員による懇親会なども行われる。" |

Comments: | Those quotes above indicate it's a bit more than an orientation event, although that's part of it. How about "offer-of-employment and orientation ceremony for prospective employees"? |

Comments: | I thought of making that longer gloss an "expl", but really it's simply an accurate definition (as far as I can tell) rather than an "explanation" of the term "prospective employer". I don't think "prospective employer" is accurate. I just put it in the definition in case someone needs to use something shorter than the full definition. Anyway, I leave it up to you - add an [expl] tag if you think it's appropriate. |

Comments: | as best as i can tell, "特定非営利活動団体(法人)" gets zero legitimate google hits. "特定非営利活動団体法人" gets 54. given that the meaning of 法人 is obvious, i think the shorter entry should suffice |
