Comments: | Rene, that note comes under the 3rd sense. There's no need to list (or even mention) ぱん because it's merely a rendaku reading. ばん, however, is the only valid reading for 版 (regardless of what comes before it) when used as a suffix in the first sense. Daijr even has an entry for ばん which redirects to はん (版). If I can't convince you to keep it in the list of readings, a note like the one I've written is an acceptable compromise. |

Also, I think we should get rid of the たって entry, even if it's in the kokugos. I don't think it makes sense in a wa-ei dictionary. I'd much rather we covered that use here. Comments: | I suspect it's being read as のりのがす. I just want a home for 乗り逃がす (which came up in a Tatoeba sentence). I could merge it into the 乗り逃す as an "io", or have it here and xref. (I like having fairly full 形容動詞 coverage.) |
|
5. | A* 2013-10-28 01:41:01 Rene Malenfant <...address hidden...>
Comments: | ah, wait. comment above was about 乗りにがす. many more real google hits for 乗り逃がす. but given the confusion between のがす and にがす, are people actually reading 乗り逃がす as のりにがす? |
|
4. | A* 2013-10-28 01:35:07 Rene Malenfant <...address hidden...>
Comments: | with only 12 real google hits, i kind of question this one. i think it may be an incorrect usage (should be のり~の~がす) modeled after the sound pattern of 取り逃がす. also possibly based on reading confusion between 逃がす and 逃す. probably not common enough to be worth capturing, IMO. |

Comments: | As I commented years ago, I think it's worth having - 100k n-grams and slightly idiomatic. The glosses probably need a tweak and some context added. There are 3 sentences using this pattern, currently not indexed. Note could be improved. |

Comments: | Should this really be an entry? The glosses imply that it's a complete sentence when in fact the 事 is a nominaliser. I think it's enough just to have entries for ことになる and かねない. |
