All my JEs have バッチ as "batch" alone. Daijirin has two バッチ entries - one saying "batch" and the other saying "「バッジ（badge）」の訛り。". I think we shouldn't be merging purely on an errant transcription/pronunciation.

Rene, that note comes under the 3rd sense. There's no need to list (or even mention) ぱん because it's merely a rendaku reading.

ばん, however, is the only valid reading for 版 (regardless of what comes before it) when used as a suffix in the first sense. Daijr even has an entry for ばん which redirects to はん (版).

If I can't convince you to keep it in the list of readings, a note like the one I've written is an acceptable compromise.

I took the comment about はん to refer to standalone use; not as a suffix.

Is the anonymous commenter saying that the suffix is read はん when referring to printed material? I don't think that's true. It's ばん in ペーパーバック版, 改訂版, 地方版, etc.

Isn't sense 2 just a sound effect (specifically this one: https://pixta.jp/audio/34027737)? I'm not convinced we even need it as a sense. ほわんほわん(ほわん) is just one of many ways this sound can be transcribed.
