Comments: | All my JE references (GG5, etc.) either have "solar cell (battery)" or "solar cell; solar battery". I agree though that "solar battery" does not mean much in English. I suspect those refs can't cope with having a translation for XX電池 which doesn't include "battery" in it somewhere. 直訳 reigns. I'm tempted to add "solar battery", but I think you are right and that it should just be "solar cell". |
