I think there is something missing in the definition, 
because it can be more specific than just "worrying". It's 
often used when one is having difficulty making a decision.

I have not altered the above just in case there is some technical reason for not adding "vs" to the "n". However, the number of Google hits were this entry is followed by the "suru" form is quite high. It was also so in the text which I was reading.

I think the ほど entry needs some work, We have 2 senses and most refs have 5 or 6.

The above, as "からきり", was in the text which I was reading. The meaning fits the context of that text. I guess in simple terms it is simply "cut from (something)", but it gets a fair measure of Google hits and the concept of cutting completely is not necessarily in the mind when thinking of "cut from", but that is often the notion of the addition of "きり"
