Comments: | I agree. While I'm always reluctant to remove forms that have been there for years, I have to agree that these 3 kanji are real outliers for かね. We could make them [sK] to reduce the display clutter, but would anyone seriously try and find this entry using 銀 or 銅. It would be misleading. |

Comments: | I don't think any of these senses are suffixes. Although it's in GG5, I think the "hiding place" sense is archaic/obsolete. It's not in the other JEs or meikyo/shinmeikai (or even daijs). Daijr's example is from the Meiji era. I don't think the "underbelly" sense is needed. The kokugos describe it as a "江戸後期の流行語". |

Comments: | I think there is something missing in the definition, because it can be more specific than just "worrying". It's often used when one is having difficulty making a decision. Here are three examples from jukuu.com ~ 1) I was torn between the two alternatives. その二つの方法のどちらを選ぼうかと思い悩んだ。 2) He was quite at a loss as to how to give his patient some hope of recovery. 彼はどうやって患者に回復の希望を与えようかと思い悩んだ。 3) 長いこと思い悩んだが,ついに決心がついた 我内心斗争了好久,终于下定了决心 I would render the Chinese here as ~ "I struggled with it [in my mind] for a long time, but in the end I made up my mind." 4) One more, from 『おかめさん』by Beat Takeshi ~ 学生らしく「今日は」というのは軽く見られそうだし、「御免ください」というのは気取っ た感じがする。思いきって京都弁でやってみるか。一郎は思い悩んでしばらく玄関でモ ジモジしていた。 |

Comments: | I don't think sense 1 is an abbreviation. I don't think we need the archaic senses. Daijr/s' example for sense 2 is from ~1900. |

Comments: | I've tried to convert this to our "style". We use that [note=".."] to add information which is not central to the gloss. In ENAMDICT there is often a short expansion, e.g. ".15C painter in the Tosa School". I'll add to the 吉野山 entry. |
