Comments: | the way that i read daijs is the other way around. (i.e., 祝う applies to all senses except 4&5, whereas 斎う applies to all senses) koj has these headwords merged together (斎う leads) with no restrictions/comments. (however, it does have restrictions in its entry for いわい 【斎・祝】) we have いわい entries merged without restriction, so i'd say we can leave this one be at least for now |

Comments: | a number of problems here: 1) 'superhuman feat' in sense 1 is a duplicate of sense 2 2) the reading restrictions are unnecessary (koj has all readings having all meanings) 3) 'shinto ritual' is probably archaic for かみわざ, but is definitely not for しんじ 4) i don't think かみわざ is written as 神事 very much today, so the merge is very marginal 5) there are other readings that could be added to an entry for 神事[しんじ] that would make this entry even more cluttered ===== i think しんじ should be split back out |

Comments: | Hi Jean-Marc. I'm pretty sure the reading is かいぐんちゅうじょう. The only hits for the other are from one rather suspect glossary. |

Comments: | It was in the text which I was reading. Google hits are quite large. The above meaning fits the context of the text which I was reading which was: "さらっと答えた(he answered smoothly)". Even that part of a sentence gets quite a lot of Google hits. Perhaps promotion will be considered. |
